What to do when in Cambrills?

Cambrills is the perfect place for a traditional beach holiday in Spain thanks to its 9 km long sandy beach which stretches between the city of Salou and the city of Tarragona.

That is why it is only fair to explore its nine golden sand beaches a bit more.
Whether you prefer a quiet, urban, active or small beach, you will find the perfect beach here. It is no wonder that families adore this holiday resort.

Cap de Sant Pere is a fine sand beach and actually the first beach of Cambrills. It is edged with a promenade while it ends with a pine trees grove. L'Esquirol Beach is a beach perfect for windsurfing thanks to its strong winds. It is also a fine golden sand beach with a promenade and a pine grove. Playa de La Dorada is very interesting for its shell shape and coarse gravel terrain. It is also well equipped with all the facilities necessary for the beach fun. La Llosa Beach’s highlights are its beautiful palm trees, promenade perfect for taking a stroll and cycle lanes along it. Playa Horta de Santa Maria is amazing with a pathway that takes you to the beach. Behind this Blue Flag beach are Roman ruins just waiting to be explored. A Promenade with bridge will take you to the Cavet beach which is right beside the road that goes through Cambrills. If you wish to learn how to windsurf, go to El Regueral where the windsurfing school is and where you can also do some kayaking and boarding.

Other than just relaxing in the sun and lying on the beach, Cambrills offers a lot of other attractions which are just waiting to be explored.

One of these attractions is The tower of Moor. It was built in the 17th century by the people of the town as a circular port tower.  Hermitage Tower (Torre De L’Ermita) is the first museum of Cambrills where an archaeological collection is displayed. The Roman Villa of La Llosa is an archaeological site where a small necropolis from Roman period has been found. Excavations have also revealed private baths, furnaces and a salt fish factory. Bronze collection was also found here. Also check out a permanent exhibition in an old water mill which is now a museum Moli de les TresEres. It is an exhibition about mills called ‘A Living Testimony to the Past’.
Cambrills has an image of a Spanish destination perfect for a traditional holiday on the beach suited for families. This is especially thanks to its safe and calm waters and beautiful beaches. But this town has a whole range of different offerings suited for all ages- sports, cultural or leisure related.
